📷 Information We Collect

• Photos: Images you take or upload for plant identification. These are sent to our AI service to process your request and are not stored permanently.
• Device Information: Basic device metadata (OS version, device model) for performance and crash reporting.
• Usage Data: Anonymized analytics such as feature usage and session length to improve the app experience.
• Purchase History: If you subscribe, purchase records are handled by Apple's App Store and RevenueCat; we only receive anonymized subscription status.

🚫 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, or contact information unless you voluntarily provide it for support.
• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not store the photos you submit for identification beyond the duration of the request.
• We do not track your precise location.

🤖 AI Processing (Google Gemini)

Plant identification is powered by Google's Gemini AI. When you submit a photo:

• The image is sent to Google's API for processing.
• Google may process this data according to their Privacy Policy.
• We do not share any personally identifying information with Google alongside your images.

💳 Subscriptions & Payments

All payments are processed through Apple's App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. Neither we nor RevenueCat store your credit card details. All financial transactions are governed by Apple's payment infrastructure.

🛡️ Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect any data processed by our app. Transmitted data uses HTTPS encryption. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

👶 Children's Privacy

PlantIdentifier is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
